Founded in 2016, The Game Changers Foundation, Inc is a 510 (c)(3) public charitable organization dedicated to providing supportive services to individuals impacted by poverty. Our primary mission is to combat hunger, unemployment and the housing crisis for displaced women, children, men and retired veterans.
Our flagship program is the food program, "Bowl of Bean Soup", aimed at providing meals to those who need it most. Sadly, at the time of our inception, over 3,250 people in the city of Sacramento alone were homeless, leaving them without the ability to prepare a home-cooked meal. Now, years late that number has nearly tripled to approximately. At The Game Changers Foundation, Inc, we strive to be a place where anyone can come and receive a healthy and nutritious meal free of charge when available. Our motto is simple: "If we have it, we'll provide it."
We believe every individual has a unique story, and poverty and hunger do not discriminate. Our founders personally understand these struggles, having experienced homelessness firsthand—raising four young children while living in a hotel, depending on fast food for lack of a kitchen to prepare wholesome meals while simultaneously running a business. We recognize that housing insecurity is not a personal failure but often a consequence of systemic challenges.
With rising rent prices and escalating living costs, even hardworking individuals can find themselves struggling to maintain stable housing. Economic pressures can transform quickly, pushing families to the edge of financial vulnerability.
Our mission is to create meaningful change, addressing poverty and hunger with compassion and purpose. We are committed to supporting those in need, providing hope and practical assistance—one meal, one person at a time. Together, we can build a community of support and resilience.
Just as we provide our customers with a sturdy support system, we too are fortunate to have a strong community behind us. We are thrilled to be in partnership with the following organizations:
African Americans for Balanced Health
Sojourner Truth Multicultural Museum
Florin Square Community Development
