Encouraging Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurship for Aspiring Business Owners
Our entrepreneurship programming supports emerging makers, creatives, and small business owners through hands-on marketplace experiences. Through the Nubian Family Marketplace, participants gain real-world opportunities to sell products, test ideas, and build confidence in a supportive, community-centered environment.
We provide low- to no-cost pop-up opportunities, vendor education, and access to community markets that center culture, family, and economic empowerment. Our approach focuses on learning by doing—helping participants grow sustainable businesses rooted in creativity, tradition, and community connection.
Creative Arts Workshops
Creative Arts Workshops
Creative Arts Workshops are offered through Anissa’s Art Corner, a creative arts program of The Game Changers Foundation Inc. These workshops serve participants of all ages and are led by a certified art therapy practitioner.
Some sessions focus on creating art pieces that encourage creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial skills through age-appropriate projects.
Founded in 2016, The Game Changers Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charitable organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by poverty. Our mission is to combat hunger, unemployment, and housing instability through compassionate, community-centered programs rooted in lived experience.
We began our work addressing immediate needs through our food program, Bowl of Bean Soup, providing healthy, nutritious meals to individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. Built on the belief that “if we have it, we’ll provide it,” this program remains a core service today.
As community needs evolved, so did our approach. In 2024, our Entrepreneurship & Community Marketplace initiative became our flagship program, expanding our impact from short-term relief to long-term economic empowerment. Through Nubian Family Marketplace, we provide low- to no-cost pop-up opportunities, vendor education, and hands-on marketplace experiences that support emerging makers, creatives, and small business owners in building sustainable pathways forward.
In addition, we promote whole-person well-being through holistic health initiatives, including our Annual Holistic Wellness Festival and monthly health seminars in partnership with African Americans for Balanced Health.
At The Game Changers Foundation, Inc., we believe poverty is not a personal failure but a systemic challenge. By addressing immediate needs while creating access to opportunity, we work alongside our community to build stability, resilience, and hope—one meal, one opportunity, one person at a time.
Just as we provide our customers with a sturdy support system, we too are fortunate to have a strong community behind us. We are thrilled to be in partnership with the following organizations:
